Abandoned Chatillon Car Graveyard photos by Marcel Wiegerinck

When World War Two ended, departing American soldiers parked their cars in the forest near Chatillon, Belgium. Intent on retrieving them in the future, the years passed and the cars remained where they’d been left almost seven decades earlier. The forest has grown up around them, their shells rusting into the earth.

Those Emerald Eyes

translationsoftheinvisible:

The curve of your back,
the scent of your lust.
We surrendered our minds-
“In the body we trust.”

The first time I had you
we transcended time,
disposed of our egos
and made love with our eyes.

Those goddamn eyes took me
to the Garden of Eden-
a bliss that I didn’t know
I could believe in.

I was the vessel
and you were the wind
that blew me through tides
of unquenchable sin.
